Wendy Placko: Graphic Design and Garden Artist Wendy loves to create and has a talent for taking something simple and making it into a beautiful, bigger picture. As an artist, she combines words and images to create art that communicates a strong message. As a gardener, she loves to think about the many details and design of her work as she brings a vegetable dream to life.  It is no surprise, then, that Wendy is the one who put this website together. She has been working with computers since she was a small child and she retains much of her playfulness and imagination in her graphic design work.  Combining her graceful artistry and technical know-how, she brings a unique and inspired style to Monarch's website and other promotional materials.  Her work helps our customers to see and connect with all the wonderful benefits of our products and events. Aside from her work at Monarch, Wendy works at St. Olaf College, helping low-income and first-generation students meet their aspirations of earning a post-secondary education. She also channels her creativity by helping the college with promotional work through websites, newsletters, and brochures. When she's not too busy, Wendy enjoys both playing and listening to music.  She currently plays bassoon in the Cannon Valley Regional Orchestra.  She also loves watching films, cooking good food and bringing together the people closest to her for some friendly, good-humored quality time.
